# Publishing

Publish a post immediately, and understand what happens per platform.

When you want a post to go out right away, **Publish now** sends it immediately to the accounts you've selected. This page explains what happens when you do — and what to do if something goes wrong.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Publishing now is irreversible.** Once a post goes live on a network, Keryo can't unsend it. Give it a final read before you hit publish.
{% endhint %}

## What happens per platform

When you publish, Keryo pushes the content to each targeted account using that account's own [per-account content](/keryo-docs/creating-posts/manual-writing.md#per-account-content):

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="LinkedIn" %}
Your post — text plus any [media](/keryo-docs/creating-posts/media.md), including a PDF published as a document/carousel — goes live on the connected LinkedIn account.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="X (Twitter)" %}
Your post goes live on the connected X account, respecting X's character limits.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Publishing is **rate-limited**. If you publish to several accounts at once, or fire off many posts in a row, Keryo paces them so they go out cleanly.
{% endhint %}

## Failures and retry

Networks occasionally reject a post — a token expired, an API hiccup, a temporary outage. When that happens:

* The post is marked as failed rather than lost.
* You can **retry** the publish once the underlying issue is resolved.

{% hint style="success" %}
If a publish fails, check that the account is still connected in the client workspace, then retry. Reconnecting the account usually clears token-related failures.
{% endhint %}

## Publish now vs schedule

Prefer to plan ahead? Use [scheduling](/keryo-docs/creating-posts/scheduling.md) to send the post at a future time instead of immediately. Live networks for both are **LinkedIn** and **X**.
