# Manual writing

Write your posts by hand, with full control over each account's content.

Sometimes you just want to write it yourself. Keryo's composer lets you draft a post by hand and fine-tune exactly what goes to each connected account.

## Write your draft

1. In the active client workspace, start a new post — it opens as a **draft**.
2. Select the accounts you want to target (LinkedIn, X, or both).
3. Type your content in the composer.
4. Add [media](/keryo-docs/creating-posts/media.md) if you need it.
5. Then [schedule](/keryo-docs/creating-posts/scheduling.md) or [publish now](/keryo-docs/creating-posts/publishing.md).

## Per-account content

A single post can go to several accounts at once, and each account can have its **own content**. That means you can write one version for LinkedIn and a tighter one for X, without creating two separate posts.

{% hint style="info" %}
Want Keryo to draft those variants for you instead of writing each by hand? Use [per-platform rewriting](/keryo-docs/creating-posts/per-platform-rewriting.md) (Freelance and up) to turn one idea into platform-specific versions automatically.
{% endhint %}

## Mixing manual and AI

Manual and AI writing aren't mutually exclusive. You can:

* Write everything yourself.
* Or generate a draft with the [AI assistant](/keryo-docs/creating-posts/ai-assistant.md), then hand-edit it.

Either way, you always have the final word on the wording before the post leaves Keryo.

{% hint style="success" %}
Keep an eye on length as you write — X has tight character limits, while LinkedIn gives you more room. The free [character counter](/keryo-docs/content-tools/free-tools.md) can help.
