# Managing your subscription

Subscribe, upgrade, downgrade, cancel, and manage invoices with Stripe.

Keryo billing runs through **Stripe**. You subscribe with **Stripe Checkout** and manage everything else — invoices, payment method, plan changes, and cancellation — from the **Stripe Billing Portal**.

Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe. **Keys never touch the client**, so your card and billing credentials stay with a PCI-compliant provider.

## Subscribing

1. Choose a plan on [Plans & Pricing](/keryo-docs/account-and-billing/plans-and-pricing.md).
2. You're taken to **Stripe Checkout** to enter payment details.
3. After payment, your subscription is active and full access is unlocked.

## Managing billing

Open the **Stripe Billing Portal** from the app to:

* **View and download invoices** and receipts
* **Update your payment method**
* **Change your plan** (upgrade or downgrade)
* **Cancel** your subscription

## Upgrading and downgrading

Change plans at any time from the Billing Portal. Upgrading (for example Freelance → Studio) unlocks the higher tier's features and workspace limit; downgrading reduces them.

If you downgrade below the number of client workspaces you're using, you may need to reduce your active workspaces to fit the new limit. See [Plans & Pricing](/keryo-docs/account-and-billing/plans-and-pricing.md) for each tier's limit.

## Cancelling

Cancel from the Billing Portal. You keep access until the end of your current billing period; when it ends, the app is paused until you resubscribe.
